Terms of Service
Last updated 1 October 2026
These terms govern your use of PeoplePlusPlaces (“P+P”), provided by NextNow Group (Pty) Ltd, 120 Bellairs Drive, Noordhang, 2169, South Africa (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using P+P you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. Your account
- You must be 13 or older to create an account. If you are under 18, you may use P+P only with your parent's or guardian's permission, and your account joins your household through their invitation.
- Your mobile number is how you sign in and how your trusted contacts' alerts reach you. Keep it current and keep your phone secure.
- You're responsible for activity on your account.
2. Households and consent
- Each person controls what they share and with whom. Don't add someone, or use P+P to follow anyone, without their knowledge and agreement.
- Only add someone without a phone (for example an older relative) if you are entitled to look after their interests and they would agree.
- Only add a child if you are their parent or legal guardian. You then hold a guardian's authority for them in P+P, and can give it to another of their parents or guardians. No one else in the household gets it.
- Household administrators can invite and remove adult members. That gives them no access to anyone's location beyond what that person shares with them, and no authority over any child.
3. Plans, trials and subscriptions
- Always free: SOS to your trusted contacts, asking your people for help, emergency numbers and your privacy choices are free on every plan.
- Paid plans (for example Plus or Protect) apply to the whole household. The person who pays manages the subscription; paying gives them no other rights over the household or anyone's information.
- Free trials give the household a plan for the stated period without payment details, and end automatically if you don't subscribe. A household can have one free trial.
- Paying for a plan: in this Beta, paid plans can't yet be bought; a household can use the free plan, a free trial or a sponsor's plan. When paid plans are offered in this version of the app, you will buy them on a secure payment page from our payment provider, opened in your browser; the App Store and Google Play are not involved. Before you pay, that page and P+P will show the price in your country's currency (including applicable taxes), the billing period, whether and when the plan renews, and how to cancel.
- Cancellation: you can cancel from P+P (Profile → Your plan). Your plan continues to the end of the period already paid for. Refunds follow the terms shown at purchase and applicable consumer law.
- When a plan ends, nothing you created is deleted. Features beyond the free plan pause until a plan returns.
- Sponsors: a sponsor (for example a school, employer or insurer) may provide a plan or a feature for your household on the sponsor's terms. Sponsors receive no information about your household.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse P+P. In particular, don't:
- raise false SOS or help alerts;
- harass or track anyone without consent;
- try to access other people's information or our systems;
- interfere with the service, or use it unlawfully.
We may suspend accounts that do.
5. The service
We work to keep P+P available and accurate, and P+P tells you truthfully what it knows, including when it can't confirm something. We don't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; we'll tell you in advance about changes that materially affect you.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from delays or failures of phones, networks, location services, notifications, text messages or third-party responders. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account); see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your information. We may end accounts that break these terms.
8. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Before taking any formal step, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter.
